Permit & salary monitoring

Nobody loses their permit over a salary mistake.

In Sweden a salary below the permit terms, even by accident, can cost someone their permit at extension time (kompetensutvisning). Add the permit terms once. Settio checks each month's salary against them and against the threshold that applied that month, and tells HR before it becomes a problem.

A permit holder's case in Settio: permit validity, the salary-versus-permit month grid with three months flagged, and the follow-up tasks

Try it

Send each month's salary. See what Settio flags.

A fictional permit holder and six months of pay. Send them one by one: each is checked against the salary the permit was granted on, and a dip becomes a step to explain.

The salary the permit was granted on

Every month

What Settio watches after arrival.

  • The level in force that monthEach month's base salary against the dated minimum and the permit's own terms. Bonus and overtime never count.
  • A missing monthA month with no salary is flagged ten days after it ends.
  • Explained, not hiddenA low month can be explained (sick leave, parental leave, agreed unpaid leave) and back pay recorded.
  • Rises aheadA warning before the minimum rises, and when a transitional level ends before the permit does.
  • Permit and passportIn every country, an expiring permit or a passport that ends first is flagged.
  • Renewals on timeWhen a country's renewal window opens, the case moves to extension due and the renewal steps appear.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. 1

    Add the permit

Type, dates and the salary it was granted on.

  2. 2

    Send salaries

Per person, a payroll file for everyone, or straight from your payroll system by API.

  3. 3

    Hear about it early

A dip below the terms or the minimum, or a missing month, becomes a follow-up step with a clear owner.

What HR gets

  • Dated thresholds, including transitional levels
  • Explained deviations and corrections are accepted and recorded
  • A look-ahead when the minimum is about to rise

For agencies

  • Offer monitoring per permit holder per month, billed automatically.

FAQ

Permit & salary monitoring: questions

Where do the thresholds come from?

Settio keeps dated threshold levels, each with its official source, and updates them when they change. Always check the authority's own figure (in Sweden, Migrationsverket) before you decide.

Which countries does monitoring cover?

Salary monitoring runs for permits in Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. In every other country Settio tracks the permit's expiry and opens the renewal steps in time.

Do we have to connect payroll?

No, a monthly spreadsheet works. The API is there if you want it automatic.

Do bonuses count?

No. Settio checks the base salary each month; bonus and overtime never count.

What if a month is low for a good reason?

Explain it (sick leave, parental leave, agreed unpaid leave or another reason) and record any back pay. The explanation stays with the case.
